The Story of Us
Our families originally met through an online homeschool group in 2019. During COVID, we kept in touch through bible studies and National Bible Bee. After a few other Bonzon-Burkhart in-person meetings, we (Tim and Sara) met for the first time in the summer of 2023, when Tim and his sister Abby roadtripped to WA state to hike the Olympics.
In Fall of 2023, Tim began his PhD in Biochemistry at Baylor University, and when Sara began applying to colleges, Tim casually mentioned "I think Baylor has a pretty good music school. Might be worth checking out." Sara fell in love with both the school and Tim.
We went on our first date on September 25th, 2024: Thai food, hours of talking, and praying on a bench in the Armstrong Browning Library Garden. One date led to many more, and 16 months later, on January 10th, after months of planning the perfect surprise proposal, Tim asked Sara to marry him. We think you can all guess what she said.
We are so excited to celebrate our love story with you all as we begin our life together.
